The Westmount Foundation supports children's and environmental causes throughout the world, contributing passion, time, capital support and energy to make a difference. Among the beneficiaries are CASA of Collin County, which is dedicated to fostering care for abused and neglected children, Dignitas International, Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, and the Urban Land Institute Foundation. Through the Westmount Foundation, the company's partners and employees are also encouraged to join in the program of giving back to the community.

Westmount Foundation just held its first fundraising event, Teams for Children, a day of sporting fun created to benefit children’s charities, while uniting representatives of Dallas’ top commercial real estate companies who share our vision of enriching the lives of future generations. The inaugural Teams for Children charity event was held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Greenhill School in Addison, Texas. Corporate teams competed in a fun-filled atmosphere to raise money for the local and international children’s charities identified as our 2010 Beneficiaries. Westmount Foundation structured the event to be both an affordable and fun team-building opportunity for participating companies, but also a family-friendly environment. The concept includes various levels of team sponsorship, offering assorted benefits, and including some guest passes for family members and friends to join in the day’s festivities. Some fun activities were included for the children that attended as well. This event, unique to North Texas, is dependent upon the excitement generated by the real estate community; other major metro areas have similar, highly successful events attracting 50+ real estate-related teams. Based on the success of our first event, we are beginning plans for our next year's event on Saturday, May 14, 2011.  See the Teams for Children website for complete details of this springtime event. www.teamsforchildren.org

Summary of Charities we Support:

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children of Collin County Every year thousands of Texas children are removed from their homes because of severe abuse, neglect, or domestic violence. CASA of Collin County's mission is to train community volunteers to advocate the best interests of these children while they are in foster care. Child abuse cases continue to rise at a staggering rate. CASA served over 750 Children in Collin County in 2007. Their goal is to ensure that every child who needs a CASA Advocate has a CASA Advocate. CASA depends on the ongoing support of the community to accomplish this. www.casaofcollincounty.org
