The Villages of Messina is located within the Transit Oriented District (TOD) of Leander, a suburb of Austin, Texas.
Description
WY Atlantis is starting development of a master-planned residential
community on the newly extended 183A Tollway, which is scheduled to
open in March 2007.
The Villages of Messina will contain more than 700 single
family homes, more than nine acres of townhomes, 80 acres of
commercial/retail and a 13-acre elementary school site. The community
will offer an upscale amenity package including clubhouse and pool,
pocket parks, a trail system linking the various enclaves within and
views of the surrounding Texas hill country. Homes will start from the
$200s.
The Villages of Messina is located within the Transit Oriented District
(TOD) of Leander. City leaders have planned a 2,000-acre special zoning
area called the TOD in anticipation of a commuter rail service by
Capital Metro and the extension of the 183A Tollway. The commuter rail
station is anticipated to be in full operation by October 2008 and the
service lanes of the 183A Tollway will be completed past The Villages
of Messina tract by March 2008.
