Brokers at Weitzman Group are hoping that history sells.
That's because they've landed the listing for one of downtown Dallas'
landmarks. Built in 1912 at Commerce and Lamar streets, the seven-story
Katy Building was one of the city's first historic properties to get a
face-lift - first in the 1970s and again in the mid-1980s.
Originally built as office space for the Missouri, Kansas
& Texas Railroad, the building has ornate terra cotta and stone
decoration on the exterior and many original features in the lobby.
The building, which is mostly leased to law firms, is on the market for about $3 million.
